Don Kuhn

Don Kuhn has recently retired as Deputy Chief of Operations for the Memphis Fire Department after 35 years of service. He currently serves as Task Force Leader for FEMA's Tennessee Task Force-1. Chief Kuhn served as Rescue Team Manager for Tennessee Task Force-1 on the September 11, 2001 response to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He has served as Task Force Leader on several hurricane deployments and responded to Hurricane Katrina with FEMA.

Carl M. Schweers

Carl Schweers is a 19 year veteran of fire service and currently acts as a Technical Rescue instructor for the Memphis Fire Department. Carl also teaches technical rescue for FEMA's Tennessee Task Force-1 Urban Search and Rescue team. He has responded to numerous disasters with TNTF-1 where he serves as a Rescue Squad Leaded. Carl has an extensive background in teaching WMD/Hazardous Materials as well as all Technical Rescue disciplines.

David Wideman

David Wideman has been a firefighter on the Memphis Fire Department for 19 years and has been a member of FEMA's Tennessee Task Force-1 since 1998. He serves as an instructor for both organizations. Often, he serves as a rescue squad leader. David has been deployed over 10 times with the task force, most notably to Hurricane Katrina.

River City Rescue is a Memphis, Tennessee based technical rescue and industrial safety training company. Specializing in educating Fire Departments in courses like Swift Water Rescue and Confined Space Rescue, River City Rescue is an established organization with the assets necessary to bring a full-scale classroom to you.
